Board of Directors

The Jars of Clay Malawi Foundation is guided by a committed Board of Directors who help provide oversight, direction, and support for the work of the foundation. Each board member brings unique experience, wisdom, and a shared desire to serve with integrity as the foundation seeks to come alongside communities in Malawi. We are grateful for their faithful leadership and stewardship.

Rich Mraule

Richard Mraule

President

Richard devoted more than 40 years to residential real estate in Southern California, building not only a successful career but lasting relationships along the way. Today, he continues his heart for service by working with adults with developmental disabilities.

His passion for ministry has led him on short-term mission trips to Europe and the Middle East. In 2024, Richard was introduced to Pastor J.J. Matandika, and through that relationship developed a deep appreciation for the work being done in Malawi. Since then, he has been actively supporting that ministry.

Richard is married to Carol, and they have four adult children and four grandchildren.

Dale Kemp

Dale Kemp

Vice President

After forty years of executive leadership with top-tier companies, Dale founded a consulting firm in 2018 dedicated to advancing the mission, operations, and capital stewardship of faith-based colleges and universities. In 2024, he traveled to Malawi with Pastor Don Smith of Barnabas Brothers to assist in teaching, and mentoring pastors and church leaders. During that visit, Dale met Pastor J.J. Matandika and witnessed firsthand the deep commitment to preaching sound biblical doctrine within the local ARPC churches.

Following this experience, Dale accepted an invitation to serve on the Board of Directors of Jars of Clay Foundation – Malawi. Dale and his wife, Susan, enjoy their family of five children and nine grandchildren.
